Stay in the loop
Occasional notes from Melbourne. No spam, no daily sales.
Huvra started with a simple, uncomfortable truth: sometimes the world gets too loud, too fast, and too much.
Someone wearing it at home, mid-afternoon
Vertical. Hood down, sitting on a sofa or the floor with a mug or a book. Soft window light, no styling, room slightly lived-in. It should look like a real afternoon, not a product shoot.
It’s your nervous system trying to protect you. We just wanted to give it a better tool.
The weighted hoodie idea came from deep pressure stimulation — a technique occupational therapists and psychologists have used for decades to help settle an overloaded nervous system. We took it off the therapy table and put it into something you could actually live in.
“We didn’t want a hundred products and a sale every other week. We wanted to make one thing, exceptionally well, and let it speak for itself.”
Close detail — quilting, cuff and sherpa together
Macro, raking side light so the box-quilt stitching and the fleece texture actually read. Get the ribbed cuff and a turned-back edge showing the cream sherpa in the same frame. This is the shot that proves the garment is real.
The Huvra is weighted evenly throughout the garment rather than bunched in the shoulders. Brushed fleece outside, sherpa lining right through the body. An oversized cut that falls to around the knee, designed to wrap rather than merely cover.
Made for the anxious, the overwhelmed, and the human.
Melbourne, honestly
Vertical. Grey light, a window, a street, a kitchen table — somewhere that reads as home rather than a landmark. No skyline postcards. Cool daylight so it sits against the warm grey of the hoodie.
Or a retreat, or an hour of spare time. Just a hoodie. Just a little weight. Just enough pressure to remind your body that you’re safe.
Wear the calm.
